Jeff attended his first meeting as a member of CBN on Tuesday, February 11 and received a very warm welcome. Through CBN Jeff and Center Road Mortgage intend to establish productive relationships with professionals who are involved in real estate.
A division of Center Road Ventures, LLC, Center Road Mortgage was formed in 1998 to provide responsive mortgage brokerage services to real estate professionals and their clients. We believe that our mission is to get deals done on time and without last minute glitches. We work with a broad range of lenders covering both the prime as well as the sub-prime markets. That gives us the flexibility to match a buyer's needs with the right product at the right rate. A few of the key programs and products we offer include:
1st time homebuyers
100% financing
Prior bankruptcy and foreclosure
Stated Income
Seller paid closing costs (up to 6%)
Poor credit/no credit
Our staff of seven professionals is unique in the business because at Center Road our originators process their own loans ensuring first hand communication.
Jeff Talbot would again like to thank the members and guests of CBN for the warm welcome he received. He looks forward to contributing to developing productive relationships with other members, guests, and their associates. The Business Accelerator is a proven methodology for identifying opportunities that grow revenue. Originally developed with Inc. Magazine, the Business Accelerator is an in-depth exploration of a company from the customer's point of view.
In The Business Accelerator Master Class, participants will develop an Acceleration Plan that focuses resources and aligns activities with customer expectations and desires, yielding a prioritized list of actions that drive growth. Some past results:
Engineering Services firm grew from $4M to $18M over two years
Commercial Printer grew from $8M to $13M in less than 18 months
Technology services firm grew from $4M to $8.5M in three years
Traditionally, the Accelerator has been offered in one-on-one consulting services. The Master Class, at $3,500, is an opportunity to gain this expertise at a fraction of that cost.
The Master Class will be held over eight consecutive Thursdays (July 10 -- August 28) from 8 AM -- 10 AM each Thursday.
Contact Ken Cook on 617-512-1838 or kcook@secondgearnow.com to learn more and see if the Accelerator would be valuable for you!

.... Driving can take a turn for the worse. Much of the visibility, traction and control you enjoy under normal conditions is gone, calling for more caution at the wheel. Before wet weather strikes, make sure you know what to do to avoid an accident.
The AAA Foundation of Traffic Safety recommends avoiding driving altogether during very wet road conditions unless it's absolutely necessary. Since violent rain storms and flash floods often pass quickly, you may be able to simply wait until the weather improves. If you are caught in a downpour while you are already on the road, make sure you are following a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you. Replacing your windshield wiper blades at least once a year will help maintain maximum visibility in the rain.
"Hydroplaning - riding on the thin layer of water between your tires and the road - can cause you to skid and lose control of your car."
Hydroplaning is a risk on wet roads, even at very low speeds. To reduce the risk of skidding, maintain good tread on your tires and replace them when needed. Drive slowly when roads are wet, especially on curves and through puddles. Steer gently and avoid braking hard or locking the wheels. If you skid, stay calm. Ease your foot off the gas, and avoid using the brakes. Don't turn suddenly; instead, steer carefully in the direction of the skid to regain control of the car. If you need to use your brakes, use a light pumping action. And remember: Never pump anti-lock brakes.
Always avoid driving through flooded roads. You can't know how deep the water is, and you could cause damage to you car or be swept away by the current. If your car stalls, put on your hazard lights before you get out and move to a safe area.
